Browned Butter Oatmeal with Pistachios & Coffee Soaked Cherries

Ingredients
Coffee Soaked Cherries
- 1/4 cup packed dried sweet cherries
- 1 Tbsp Tree Juice Maple Syrup
- 1/2-3/4 cup strong cold coffee
Browned Butter Oatmeal
- 2 Tbsp Butter
- 1 tsp Vanilla Bean Project Vanilla Bean Paste
- 1 tsp Burlap & Barrel Royal Cinnamon
- 1 Tbsp Tree Juice Maple Syrup
- Pinch of salt
- 1 cup Maine Grains Organic Rolled Oats
- 2 cups whole milk
- Chopped pistachios for serving
Equipment
- Pint container
- Medium sauce pan
Instructions
Coffee Soaked Cherries
- In your pint container, add your cherries, maple syrup, and cover with coffee with 1/2" above cherries.
- Refrigerate overnight.
Browned Butter Oatmeal
- Add your butter to your sauce pan over medium heat and cook until it stops bubbling. From here, continuously swirl the pan until it smells nutty and starts to brown.
- When the butter is the color of cinnamon, add in your oats and stir to coat. Cook one more minute to slightly toast your oats.
- Add in your cinnamon, maple syrup, salt, and milk and bring to a simmer over medium-high heat.
- Reduce to low and cook for 5-8 minutes or until the oats have soaked up most of the milk and the porridge is thickened to your liking.
- Serve topped with coffee soaked cherries and chopped pistachios. Enjoy!
